Times End ‘C’ Computers Wins 2025 Ghana Shippers Excellence Award for Innovation and Technology (2025)

Times End "C" Computers has been recognized for its groundbreaking contributions to Ghana's maritime digital transformation, earning the prestigious Excellence in Innovation and Technology Award at the 7th Ghana Shippers Awards in Accra. This achievement highlights the company's long-standing impact on enhancing operational efficiency and safety across Ghana's shipping, clearing, and forwarding ecosystem.

The award celebrates TECC's sustained investment in technology solutions tailored to the maritime sector. One of its notable achievements was the nationwide sensitization campaign on the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) regulation in 2016, following the global enforcement of SOLAS guidelines. TECC, in collaboration with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, the Ghana Shippers Authority, the Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana, and Maersk Line, supported extensive engagements to prepare industry players for VGM compliance. During a significant session, the Senior Vice President of the World Shipping Council, Lars Kjaer, joined TECC via Skype to support presentations and answer questions, a moment that strengthened industry readiness and improved safety practices at the ports.

TECC has also played a pivotal role in stakeholder alignment on maritime measurement standards. The company was instrumental in establishing the Metrology and Measurement National Technical Committee (TC17) Subcommittee on Maritime under the Ghana Standards Authority, serving as an active member in harmonizing national frameworks.

As part of its ongoing drive for innovation, TECC is set to introduce Cheemoh, a new software solution designed to integrate weighing systems, including weighbridges and other industrial platforms, directly into an organization's enterprise resource planning tools. The system aims to improve operational accuracy, enhance workflow efficiency, and support real-time decision-making, with an optional VGM module for organizations requiring automated Verified Gross Mass processing.

The award recognizes TECC's ability to build secure data management systems and deliver digital solutions that support long-term industry growth. It also highlights the company's role as a trusted technology partner within the maritime value chain.

This year's Ghana Shippers Awards, organized by Globe Productions Limited, brought together leaders across the maritime and aviation sectors under the theme "Blue Ideas, Bold Moves: Innovating Ghana's Maritime Value Chain for the Future." Reacting to the honor, the CEO of TECC, Emmanuel Odartey, expressed his gratitude, stating, "This is a massive win for us all at Times End 'C' Computers. It will encourage us toward even greater achievements. We dedicate this to our cherished customers in the shipping sector."

This recognition is a testament to TECC's commitment to innovation and its pivotal role in shaping the future of Ghana's maritime industry.
